Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10 Update 15

Problem

The installation of ePO 5.10 Cumulative Update 15 fails.

The following message is displayed during installation:

Validating ePolicy Orchestrator installation completed

Cause

This issue is caused because the environment variable path is redirected to Java or other applications.

Solution

Perform the steps below to remove the CompSpec under the System Variables section:

Right-click the Windows icon on the Windows taskbar and select System.
Scroll down to the bottom until you see Related Settings.
Select Advanced system settings.
On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
Under System Variables section, Select the CompSpec variable.
Click Delete, OK.

After you implement the above changes, try to re-run CU15 and verify if it's working. If the issue still exists, restart the ePO server and try the installation process again.
