IMPORTANT: Only perform the steps below if you do
not have access to
https://localhost:8443/core/restore-admin.
Access to this site allows you to create a temporary administrator account.
In the Workaround below, we take the value of "
AuthURI" from the "system" account and update it in the
admin account. After you complete the steps below, you can log on with the new password.
- Reset the password using the PIA tool.
- Open SQL Management Studio and select the ePO database.
- Run the following query:
SELECT AuthURI FROM OrionUsersMT WHERE Name = 'system'
- Copy and paste the result into the following query. Replace the XXXX with the results of the previous query.
UPDATE OrionUsersMT SET AuthURI = 'XXXX' WHERE ID = 1
