The extension must be replaced in the system to resolve the issue.
Prerequisite: Back up the policy data
To protect the data from loss, take a backup of the policy data. Perform the steps below:
- Download the latest version of the Network DLP Extension Bundle from the Downloads center.
- Make a snapshot of the ePO server.
- Take a backup of the ePO Database.
- Log on to the ePO console and do the following:
- Go to the Policy Catalog page and export the Common Appliance Management and DLP Appliance Management policies.
- Go to the System Tree page and export the policy assignments for the NDLP group. (This group is the one in which the NDLP appliances are located.)
- In the Menu, Server Settings, Policy and Task Retention page:
- Click Edit in the lower right corner of the screen, and change the setting to Keep policy and client task data.
- Click Save to save the settings.
Optional: After you save the settings, stop the ePolicy Orchestrator Apache server to shut down the event handler. If you stop this server, make sure that the ePolicy Orchestrator Apache server is restarted.
Steps to replace the extension
To replace the extension in the system, perform the following steps:
- Go to the ePO Menu, Extensions page and remove the DLP Appliance Management extension.
- Click OK button to complete the removal of the extension.
- Click Install Extension at the top of the screen.
- Locate and select the latest NDLP Extension Bundle zip that you downloaded.
- Click OK to install the extensions and accept the extensions that would not be updated.
