McAfee Agent enables users to view the McAfee Agent activity log and product logs securely from either of the following:
- ePO server
- Another system on the network after providing valid ePO credentials
To view the McAfee Agent Activity log:
- Log on to the ePO console.
- Select Menu, Systems, System Tree.
- Select a system for which you want to view the McAfee Agent log.
- Click Actions, Agent, Single System Troubleshooting.
To download the McAfee Agent Product logs:
- Log on to the ePO Console
- Select Menu, Systems, System Tree.
- Select the system for which you want to download McAfee Agent product log.
- Click Actions, Agent, Single System Troubleshooting.
- Click Collect when the button is active.
NOTE: The download option is available when the products log collection is completed.
- Click Download. The file Machine_Name_productlogs.zip is downloaded.
- Extract the contents of Machine_Name_productlogs.zip.
Limitations:
- The task completion status is queued if the collection of the product logs for either of the following is in progress:
- Run Client Task Now
- Update Now task
- For times where the Agent monitor logs are not rendered in the ePO server console, see KB85013.
- Single system troubleshooting for a system does not support requests through multiple sessions. The following message is displayed on the newest sessions invoked:
The selected system cannot use this feature as the system can't be reached.
- If the Enable Remote Logging policy setting is disabled in the McAfee Agent General policy, the updated logs are not displayed in the ePO console. Only historical logs might be displayed.
- This feature only works with the McAfee Agent Logs.
