You see the following error after providing your authentication details: The problem is reported after assigning a group to an individual computer. A subsequent check via the ePO console identifies that the system to which the group is assigned has no users assigned. NOTE: To verify whether the user is assigned to the computer, look at the Save Machine info file on the client. To enable the ability to save the file, you must enable the following option in ePO under Product settings, Allow users to create endpoint info file. CauseNone of the users that exist in the group are actually being assigned to that system. The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user in ePO for the Endpoint Encryption LDAP Sync Task doesn't have permission to perform the following actions:
NOTE: You can find the LDAP user under Menu, Configuration, Registered Servers, LDAP servers.
SolutionIn Active Directory, make sure that the LDAP User referenced in the ePO-registered server settings has sufficient rights to query groups and subgroups.
