ePolicy Orchestrator Pre-Installation Auditor tool flags an issue with 'Pending McAfee ePO server tasks'

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x
Pre-Installation Auditor (PIA) tool

NOTE: The PIA tool is also known as the Installation and Upgrade Precheck tool.

Problem

During an upgrade, the PIA tool flags your ePO server with an issue regarding Pending McAfee ePO server tasks.

Cause

This flag means that a server task is either actively running or about to start. Server tasks that are running while the ePO installer runs might cause the upgrade to fail.

Solution

Disable any tasks that might interfere with the installation or upgrade. Examples are listed below:

Purge events
Pull tasks
Replication tasks
It's important to disable all LDAP Sync tasks before you initiate the upgrade of the ePO server and make sure that there are no LDAP Sync tasks running. If any of these tasks are running, wait for them to complete before initiating the upgrade.
