ePO Server reached the maximum download limit (recorded in the client agent log)

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x

Recently managed computers where the ePO server has deployed the McAfee Agent can communicate with the ePO Server but are unable to:

Older computers continue to work correctly and do not show any connection problems or error messages.

The Agent_<computer_name>.log on the client computers records the following errors:

X	#1680	InetMgr	Socket getting closed, Handle 1456

I	#1680	InetMgr	Server reached the max download limit
X	#1680	InetMgr	Socket getting closed, Handle -1
I	#1680	InetMgr	HTTP Session closed
I	#1680	InetMgr	------------------------------------------------------------
I	#1680	InetMgr	After calling UploadFileResponse()
I	#1680	Agent	ePO Server reached the maximum download limit
I	#1680	Agent	communication session closed

One of the following has happened:

The SQL database Autogrowth setting has not been selected.
The SQL database has been configured to limit the maximum file size.
The disk drive that holds the database files is almost filled, which causes the database file to fail to grow as configured.

Check autogrowth settings for the ePO database through the SQL Management Studio:

Open SQL Server Management Studio.
Select the ePO Server and click Connect.
Expand Databases, right-click the ePO database, and select Properties.
Click Files.
For File Type, Data, under autogrowth, click the small box with three periods [...].
Click Enable Autogrowth.
In the File Growth section, select either of the following:
- In Percentage
- In Megabytes (value must be > 0).
In the Maximum File Size section, select either of the following:
- Restricted file growth (MB).
- Unrestricted File Growth.
  
  NOTE: If Restricted File Growth (MB) is selected, increase the default value of 100 MB accordingly to the expected usage.
Click OK.
Make sure that the corresponding disk drive where the ePO database resides has sufficient space available to allow the database files to grow.
