Data Exchange Layer (DXL) 5.x McAfee Agent (MA) 5.7.4, 5.7.3, 5.7.2 Problem
The DXL client is unable to connect to the ePolicy Orchestrator server. The lookup in DXL returns Request Timed Out. Cause
During the MA startup on a VDI client, the agent receives a new GUID, because of a SMBIOS change. The GUID is passed to the DXL client before the ePO server can provide the correct GUID from the deprovisioned agent. The Solution

Restart the MA services. This action allows the DXL client to collect the correct GUID, and allows the DXL lookup to be successful:
