This article documents the minimum required extension versions for ePO 5.10. ePO uses a Product Compatibility List (PCL) to block an upgrade if the ePO server has an extension checked in, which isn't compatible with the version of ePO that you're upgrading to. If this happens, you either upgrade or remove the extension. You can use the information in this article to determine the extension version that you need to upgrade to or if the extension is unsupported and must be removed prior to upgrading ePO. ePO downloads the PCL.

The article is divided into the following sections:

• Supported Extensions for ePO 5.10 GA Release - Documents the minimum extension versions required to upgrade from ePO 5.9.x and earlier to ePO 5.10.
• Supported Extensions by ePO 5.10 Update Version - Documents the minimum extension versions for extensions that must be updated before applying an ePO 5.10 Update.
• Unsupported Extensions - Documents extensions that are blocked by the PCL based on the Update version where the blocking begins. No updates are planned for these extensions.
• How the Product Compatibility List works in ePO 5.10 Update 10 and later - Provides information about how the PCL is integrated with the ePO 5.10 Update tool starting with Update 10. Also, this section provides instructions on how to manually update the PCL on an ePO server that doesn't have internet connectivity or otherwise can't automatically download the PCL.

IMPORTANT:

• If an extension doesn't meet the minimum version listed, it must be upgraded to the specific build listed in the Minimum Extension Build column. This action must be undertaken before an ePO upgrade. If not, the ePO upgrade is blocked. You don't need to upgrade the listed managed product with the extension.
   
• This article and the PCL used by the ePO installer or update tool to look for compatible extensions in ePO apply only to the extensions provided by Trellix. They don't apply to third-party extensions supplied by our Security Interchange Alliance (SIA) partners. If you upgrade from an earlier version of ePO to ePO 5.10.x, the installer doesn't notify you if you have incompatible extensions from our SIA partners. These legacy extensions can fail if the SIA partner integration uses custom tables. If the custom tables reference any of the ePO database tables that are part of the BigInt migration, such as the EPOEventsMT table, foreign key references are dropped during the ePO upgrade.

Supported Extensions for ePO 5.10 GA Release

You must upgrade your extension to a build number equal to or higher than the one listed in the Minimum Extension Build column. This action doesn't necessarily apply to the product on the end node.
See your product documentation for which versions of the product you can manage with the specified extension builds.

Supported Extensions by ePO 5.10 Update Version

This section documents the minimum required extension version for ePO 5.10 cumulative updates. As the updates are cumulative, once a minimum version is established for an update, it's also required for all future updates unless a new, higher minimum version is required by a subsequent update.

NOTE: Starting with ePO 5.10 cumulative Update 10, the version of Tomcat used by ePO is upgraded to Tomcat 9. This change requires several extensions to be updated before you apply Update 10 and later.

IMPORTANT:

• Make sure that all your extensions are the latest before you try to install ePO 5.10 Update 10 or later.
• If you miss updating any extension that has a dependency on the Tomcat upgrade, the ePO update tool prompts you to update that extension.

2	Support for Database Activity Monitoring is initially dropped in ePO 5.10 Update 10 but the PCL isn't fully updated to reflect this unsupported informtion. Starting with ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1, it is fully blocked.

IMPORTANT: The extensions in the following table aren't blocked by the PCL but they aren't supported as they are EOL. This is not a definitive list of unsupported extensions. However, the extensions may continue to function in future releases of ePO but these are not tested and can't be updated if problems are discovered.

How the Product Compatibility List works in ePO 5.10 Update 10 and later

An updated copy of the PCL is included in ePO 5.10 Update 10 and later. The update tool first tries to download the latest copy of the PCL. If it can't because of a proxy issue, or lack of internet access, the update tool looks at the time stamp on the PCL. The PCL file is found in the ePO installation directory. If ePO's PCL is more recent, it's used; otherwise, the PCL in the update tool is used.

Updating the PCL
Follow the instructions below to update the PCL in an air-gapped network, or when an updated PCL can't be downloaded automatically:

Option 1 - On an ePO server that has internet access, perform the steps below:

1. Go to the Product Compatibility List XML.
2. Log on to the ePO console.
3. Click Menu, Configuration, Server Settings.
4. Click Product Compatibility List under the Setting Categories column.
5. Verify the Current Product Compatibility List date entry. Verify that the Supported Products List is being updated.
   
   NOTE: Update is Enabled by default and the task runs automatically once a day.

Option 2 - Download a copy of the PCL in XML format:

1. Access the Product Compatibility List and save it as an XML file.
   
   NOTE: The file must be called ProductCompatibilityList.xml. Don't change the name of the file.
    
2. Log on to the ePO console.
3. Click Menu, Configuration, Server Settings.
4. Click Product Compatibility List under the Setting Categories column and click Edit.
5. Select Disabled, click Browse, go to the downloaded ProductCompatibilityList.xml, and click Save.
