Summary
We recommend that customers always update to the latest patch version. We offer technical support on older patch versions only on a best-effort basis. New bugs or vulnerabilities identified in any General Availability (GA) versions will only be fixed in the upcoming releases.
As third-party manufacturers release new operating systems, platforms, and service packs, the original product guides might not reflect the current support policy for those platforms.
Most of the following information is available in the product installation guides and readme.txt files. But, some of the information is available only in Product Management Statements published in the Knowledge Base.

DLP Endpoint Complete supports Microsoft operating systems and its Service Packs only while Microsoft officially supports them. No support is provided for operating systems beyond its Extended End Date and when it reaches Extended Security Update (ESU). Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 on January 13, 2015, and will end extended support on January 14, 2020. For details, go to the Windows Server Documentation page. For best results and optimal security, upgrade to a newer supported operating system.
Microsoft ended extended support for Windows Server 2003 SP2 on July 14, 2015. As of the end of 2015, the only product we support with Windows Server 2003 SP2 is Application and Change Control.
When foundation software such as Trellix Agent (TA) and ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) end support for the operating system or Service Pack, DLP Endpoint Complete also ends support for it.
File System Discovery Rules and Network Communication Protection Rules aren'tsupported on servers.
Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise editions are supported.

NOTE: We test DLP Endpoint Complete software on VMware virtualization platforms. Most of the features work on all VMware virtualization platforms when the guest operating system is of a supported platform, and has been provisioned with recommended system requirements as defined in the Installation guide. But, some hardware-interaction based features might not work as expected because of the nature of hardware implementation on virtual platforms. If an issue arises, we provide support to these issues on a case-by-case basis.
Microsoft Windows — Supported browsers for DLP Endpoint Complete and ePolicy Manager Console
DLP Endpoint Complete 11.x Policy Manager is native to ePO and works with any ePO-supported operating system and browser combination. To view ePO supported browsers, see KB51569 - Supported platforms for ePolicy Orchestrator.
NOTE: The plug-in extension on Chrome doesn't need an update as it works like a proxy. The DLP Agent delivers this feature and not the plug-in.
Microsoft Windows — Supported browsers for DLP Endpoint Complete
NOTE: Support for the DLP Endpoint extension on a specific version of ePO ends with the EOL date of the ePO version. For ePO versions that have reached EOL, legacy listings are shown to indicate the version of DLP formerly supported. This information can provide an upgrade path for customers who might be running the legacy version of DLP Endpoint and ePO.
EOL period—The time frame that runs from the day we announce product discontinuation, until the last date that we formally support the product. In general, after the EOL period is announced, no enhancements are made.
EOL date—The last day that the product is supported, according to the terms of our standard support offering.
