The 'Stop the task if it runs for' option isn’t honored when a system is in sleep mode

Environment

McAfee Agent (MA) 5.x

Problem

You observe the following after setting the client task option 'Stop the task if it runs for' for 20 minutes.

The client task starts according to scheduled client task. For example, an on-demand scan (ODS) task.
During the scan, the system is placed in sleep mode for five minutes after the client ODS task has started.
The system wakes up from sleep mode after 25 minutes.
Unexpectedly, the client ODS task continues to run until it completes.

NOTE: After resuming from sleep mode, the stop task is expected to have been applied, and the ODS stopped.

Solution

This behavior is expected because the McAfee Agent scheduler doesn't function in sleep mode.
