Paths configured in the policy that contain an environmental variable don't function when applied to the macOS client. You see this issue when either one or both the processes are configured in the following:
Cause
Use of environmental variables is currently not supported on macOS. Support is provided only for Windows systems.
Solution
Environmental variables are recognized on DLP Endpoint for macOS 11.10.2 onward. The below mentioned environmental variables are supported in the "Content Tracking" section of the macOS Client Configuration policy and also while selecting the folders that will be scanned during an Endpoint Discovery scan.
