Problem

Paths configured in the policy that contain an environmental variable, don’t function when applied to the macOS client.

You see this issue when either one or both of the processes are configured in:

Content Tracking section of the ‘macOS Client Configuration policy’
Or
Endpoint Discovery scan

Cause

Use of environmental variables are currently not supported on macOS. Support is provided only on Windows systems.

Solution

Configure the policy to use direct folder path. Avoid using environmental variables when applying a policy to macOS systems.

To submit a new product idea, go to the Enterprise Customer Product Ideas page.
