The MOVE Multi-platform SVM service must be configured with the Startup Type as Automatic in the service manager. This configuration results in uninterrupted protection to the associated client systems.

Although you can start the SVM manger with the command-line option, we recommend that you configure the Startup Type as Automatic in the service manager. This configuration makes sure that the SVM is up when the server is booted, and clients are protected.
 
If the MOVE Multi-platform SVM service isn't running, connection error events are generated at the client system's mvagent.log:
 
Review the service manager settings and start the MOVE SVM service.

NOTE: We recommend that you keep the SVM service behavior as default, which keeps services running at all times.
