Identify your BIOS ID string, then interpret the BIOS ID string to BIOS version number. The BIOS ID string is accessible from either BIOS screen or BMC Web Console.
The BMC Web Console allows you to view it on a running ATD appliance, without rebooting your running ATD system.
BIOS ID in BIOS screen
- Log on to ATD CLI using cliadmin credentials.
- Execute the reboot CLI command.
- During system boot, press F2 when prompted to enter the BIOS screen.
- Locate BIOS version in the Main, System BIOS. For example:
SE5C600.86B.02.06.0005

BIOS ID in BMC Web Console
- Enable RMM interface of your ATD appliance per KB81268 - How to enable RMM for Advanced Threat Defense Appliances.
- Open BMC Web Console by pointing the IP address of your RMM interface, with your web browser using HTTPS. For example:
https://192.168.10.100/
- Navigate to System Information.
- Locate BIOS ID in the System Information table, for example:
SE5C600.86B.02.06.0005.082220131453

How to interpret BIOS ID string to BIOS version number
The BIOS ID string has multiple fields split with a period.
The leading two fields denote the ATD appliance hardware generation:

The three next fields denote the actual BIOS version, for example:

It corresponds with the BMC release notes in the BIOS package. Every time you upgrade BIOS, this string is updated.
