Unable to delete expired certificate from the Trellix IPS Manager

Environment

Trellix Intrusion Prevention System (Trellix IPS)

Problem

You try to delete an expired certificate from the Manager.
You navigate to Devices, Global, IPS Device Settings, SSL Decryption and click Internal Web Server Certificates.

But, nothing happens; the expired certificate stays in the Manager and isn't deleted.

Solution

Delete the certificate from the database:

Login to the MariaDB database by following the steps listed in KB96975 - How to login to the MariaDB Database in Trellix IPS Manager.
Obtain the <key_id> using the <cert_name>.
Type select key_id,cert_name from iv_ssl_key; and press Enter.
Use the <key_id> to delete the expired certificate.
Type the following command and press Enter. Replace XXXX with expired certificate <key_id>.
delete from iv_ssl_key where key_id=<XXXX>;
Restart the Manager Service.
