ePO-MER policy can't be saved if the 'Upload Settings' path is unreachable by the ePO server

KB94052
Last Modified: 2023-08-08 07:14:48 Etc/GMT Environment
Minimum Escalation Requirement (MER) tool MER for ePO (ePO-MER) 4.1, 4.0 NOTE: ePO-MER is an ePO-deployable version of Problem
The ePO-MER policy can't be saved. The issue is seen when the Upload Settings path is populated with a network location. But, the connection is unreachable by the ePO server itself. The Save option is grayed-out and non-interactive. CauseDesign of the ePO-MER extension requires that the Upload Settings path must be verified as reachable before the policy can be saved.
This feature is undesirable because the Upload Settings path is used by the client computers uploading MER data, not the ePO server itself. In environments with any significant type of network segmentation, it's possible that the path might not be accessible by an ePO server. But, it would be reachable by clients uploading MER data, which renders the check superfluous. Solution
The problem is resolved in ePO-MER 4.2, which is now available for download. Download the ePO-MER tool. Related InformationAffected ProductsLanguages:This article is available in the following languages: |
