Summary

To manually uninstall DLP Endpoint from a macOS system using the command-line interface options, do the following steps:

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you have administrator rights to uninstall DLP.

Open a Terminal window.
Type the following command, and then press Enter:

sudo /usr/local/McAfee/DlpAgent/bin/Uninstall.sh

NOTE: This command is case-sensitive.
Type the administrator password when prompted.

NOTE: For a managed system, if you enable Uninstallation in the Endpoint Security Common policy, remove the software using the command-line prompts, and use the password set by your ePO Server administrator.

The following message appears after the software is uninstalled:

Product has been uninstalled successfully

NOTE: When DLP is uninstalled, McAfee Agent isn't uninstalled from the system.
