ePO ignores configured proxy settings and connects directly to Online Certificate Status Protocol Server

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10 Updates 1–6

Problem

Certificate-based authentication fails when:

It’s configured in an environment where Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) checking is enabled.
And
Network traffic from the ePO server must be routed through a proxy.

ePO ignores the configured proxy settings (Configuration, Server Settings, Proxy Settings), and tries to connect directly to the OCSP Server.

An error is recorded on the orion.log file:

ocsp.OCSPChecker - Caught an Exception attempting to send request to OCSP server for http://ocsp.internal.com
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.0 Update 7, which is available from the Product Downloads site.
