McAfee Agent forwards all Endpoint Protection Platform Threat Events to ePolicy Orchestrator

Environment

Endpoint Protection Platform
McAfee Agent (MA) 5.x

Problem

MA immediately forwards all Threat Events that Endpoint Protection Platform generates to ePolicy Orchestrator.

There are no options available to change the frequency.

The events are sent regardless of the configured intervals, by either of the following settings:

Agent-to-server communication interval
Priority event forwarding

Solution

This behavior is expected. Endpoint Protection Platform sends Threat Events to MA with a request to bypass any buffering or collection.
