MOVE for Multi-Platform 4.8.0
Problem
Installation of a MOVE 4.8.0 client on a 19H2 Microsoft Windows 10 system fails immediately after the system is deployed. NOTE: This issue is intermittent and isn't a regular occurrence. Cause
The failure occurs because the system doesn't have network connectivity. Thus, the malware signatures for Windows Defender are outdated. Windows Defender prevents the changing of a registry file that the MOVE installer uses during installation.
Solution
This issue has been corrected in MOVE for Multi-Platform 4.8.1. Technical Support recommends upgrading to this version if possible. Our product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available on the Product Downloads site.
NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. See KB56057 - How to download product updates and documentation for more information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products. Workaround 1
You must manually disable Windows Defender before you initiate the installation of the MOVE for Multi-Platform 4.8.0 client.
Workaround 2
You must update the Windows Defender Malware Signature to the latest signatures and then run the installation of the MOVE 4AV Multi-Platform 4.8.0 client.
