ePolicy Orchestrator Pre-Installation Auditor tool flags an issue with 'Database compatibility level'

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x
Pre-Installation Auditor (PIA) tool

NOTE: The PIA tool is also known as the Installation and Upgrade Precheck tool.

Problem

An ePO upgrade might fail if the database compatibility level for the ePO database is set to a level lower that supported by the ePO version you're upgrading to.

Solution

Change the database compatibility level:

Access the SQL instance that hosts the ePO database using SQL Management Studio.
Right-click on the ePO database in Object Explorer and select Properties.
On the properties page, select Options.
Review the value in the Compatibility level drop-down list at the top of the page. Confirm that the compatibility level is set to a version of SQL that is supported by the ePO version you're upgrading to.
