ePolicy Orchestrator Pre-Installation Auditor tool flags an issue with 'Pending Windows tasks'

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x
Pre-Installation Auditor (PIA) tool

NOTE: The PIA tool is also known as the Installation and Upgrade Precheck tool.

Problem

The PIA tool flagged the ePO server on Pending Windows tasks.

Cause

This check determines whether one or more tasks present in the Windows Task Scheduler are running or configured to run in the future.

Solution

Check the status in the Windows Task Scheduler, and take the following actions:

Press Windows+R. This action opens the run dialog box on the ePO server.
In the run dialog box, type taskschd.msc and click OK.
Check whether any tasks are running or scheduled to run in the next few hours.
Right-click on any task that's Enabled and scheduled to run soon, and select Disabled.
Right-click on any task with the status of Running and select End.
