Skyhigh Web Gateway (SWG)

Summary

Sometimes, Technical Support needs to debug connection issues between SWG and Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) servers. The SWG operating system contains a gti-diagnosis script that collects this data automatically.

Solution

To run the GTI diagnosis script from the CLI:

Log on to SWG as a privileged account (root user) using SSH.
Change directories using the following command:

cd /opt/mwg/bin

You find a shell script named gti-diagnosis.
Execute the gti-diagnosis script with the following command:

./gti-diagnosis

You see the connection test output of the script on the console. This output could be redirected into a file:

./gti-diagnosis >> /opt/mwg/log/debug/gti-diagnosis-output.txt

NOTE: The creation of the file can take a couple of minutes depending on the response times of the servers. If needed, you can interrupt it with the command Ctrl+C.
After it finishes, you find the text file in /opt/mwg/log/debug/.
