Environment

Drive Encryption (DE) 7.2.x, 7.1 Patch 3 Hotfix 114897 or later

Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 1607) or later

Problem

When attempting to upgrade a Windows 10 system (Anniversary Update or later) that has DE installed, you see the following error after entering the c:\Win10ISO\Windows10\Windows>Setup.exe /ReflectDrivers %programfiles\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption\OSUpgrade command:

Windows Setup

An unknown command-line option [ReflectDrivers] was specified.

Cause

Double quotes are required at the beginning and end of the specified path.

Solution

When entering the ReflectDrivers command, include double quotes in the path section.

Example:

Setup.exe /ReflectDrivers "%programfiles%\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption\OSUpgrade"
