The Windows Action Center provides alerts to users when content is out of date. It also allows a user to click Update button to check the ENS registered content update application AMCFG.exe and then run it. The initial check that Windows performs only verifies whether Microsoft signed the application. It always prompts the user to trust or not trust the publisher before running AMCFG.exe. This check does not store the user's selection to trust the publisher. Instead, it prompts the user again if they try to update content using Windows Action Center instead of updating through ENS.
