Non-root user is not in the sudoers file (installation fails to Linux systems)

Environment

McAfee Agent (MA) 5.x
All supported Linux Operating Systems

Problem

A push agent installation from the ePO server fails to a client system that runs Linux.

The ePO server.log contains the error below:

SSH Output: Using username "non-root user ".
SSH Output: Sent password
SSH Output: Access granted
SSH Output: Opened channel for session
SSH Output: Started a shell/command
SSH Output: [sudo] password for <non-root user >: non-root user is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
SSH Output: Server sent command exit status 1
SSH Output: Disconnected: All channels closed
Start service failed, system error: 1

Cause

As a non-root user, the ePO Server fails to establish a Secure Shell (SSH) connection with Linux systems. As a result, the push agent installation fails.

Solution

Use root user permissions to allow ePO to establish an SSH connection with Linux systems. Then, undertake a McAfee Agent push installation.
