Problem

ENS installation fails with the following pop-up error from Microsoft MSIExec:

The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

Cause

The Windows installer service is missing or corrupted.

Solution

When the Windows installer service is missing or corrupted, see Microsoft article 324516 to resolve the issue.
