ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x

Problem

The ePO logon screen hangs when it's opened with Internet Explorer.

Cause

In some Windows environments, Internet Explorer security settings prevent the ePO console from loading the logon page.

The Enable Protected Mode option is enabled in the Local intranet settings in Internet Explorer.

Solution

Disable the Enable Protected Mode and add the ePO server to the list of local intranet sites in Internet Explorer:

In Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Select Local intranet.
Deselect the Enable Protected Mode option.
Click Sites, Advanced, and add the localhost name of the ePO server. The localhost name defaults in the field if you're currently on the ePO console site.
Click Close, and then click OK twice.
