Problem

You see a Program Compatibility Assistant pop-up window when either:

Over installing McAfee Agent 5.x using the SmartInstaller.exe, at the end of the installation attempt.
Accessing the help options on SmartInstaller.exe, using the command prompt, and when closing the help dialog window.

For both of the above, the pop-up window states This program might not have installed correctly

The above message is seen on Windows 7 operating systems.

Solution

In these scenarios, you can safely ignore the pop-up window and select the option: The program installed correctly.
