For details of DE-supported environments, see KB79422 - Supported platforms for Drive Encryption 7.x. Problem 1Some systems fail to activate after successfully installing DE. All affected systems had previously installed Endpoint Encryption for PC (EEPC) 5.x and the drive re-imaged before successfully installing DE.
Client side: The following information displays in the DE System Status window, even though the encryption policy is activated in ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).
ePO Console: The administrator sees the following Client System Details for DE.

CauseAlthough the drive is re-imaged to remove EEPC 5.x, this doesn't remove details that EEPC 5.x stores in the partition gap between sector 0 and 63. Removing this data requires you to first format the drive prior to re-imaging. Solution 1To avoid this issue on systems that haven't yet been re-imaged:
Solution 2For systems that have already been re-imaged and fail to activate:
Activation should now be successful.
