Network Communication Protection rule doesn't work if Skyhigh Client Proxy is installed

Environment

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Endpoint - all supported versions
Skyhigh Client Proxy (SCP) 2.x

Problem

You create a Network Communication Protection rule in DLP Endpoint for a certain network address and apply the policy. You also create and apply an SCP always redirecting Policy with a SaaS proxy server. But, the Network Communication Protection rule isn't triggered. The Network Communication Protection rule in DLP Endpoint might be for actions such as block, monitor, or notify.

If the rule isn't triggered, websites that you want to block remain accessible to the user.

Solution

This behavior is expected when SCP and DLP Endpoint are both present on the same computer. SCP redirects traffic to the proxy server. As a result, DLP Endpoint can't correctly obtain the addresses of the websites to block or monitor.
