Product Management
Date:
June 2013
Microsoft has announced that the End of Extended Support for Windows XP SP3 is
April 8, 2014. For details,
see the Microsoft Lifecycle page.
Support policy for our Enterprise Products on Windows XP SP3 beyond April 8, 2014
For a limited time, we will continue to support current versions of Enterprise Endpoint Products on Windows XP SP3 beyond April 8, 2014. Support is provided as long as it is technically and commercially reasonable for us to do so, and there is no external dependency. For example, if a product requires Microsoft to provide a fix and Microsoft does not provide the fix, then we can't support the product any longer.
Enterprise products released after April 8, 2014, might not support Windows XP SP3.
Extended support period for Enterprise Endpoint Products
Standard support for Enterprise Endpoint products continues according to the following table. You can purchase a Custom Software Support Agreement after the end of standard support for one year.
NOTES:
- If the product is End of Life (EOL) before the date shown, Windows XP SP3 support also ends on the product EOL date.
- You might be required to update to the latest supported update and AV Engine throughout the supported lifecycle.

How to purchase support for Windows XP after the end of standard support
Customers who want to purchase support for our products on Windows XP after the end of standard support must work with sales to sign a Custom Software Support Letter of Agreement (CSSLOA).
Customers are required to purchase another custom software support SKU to cover Windows XP support. Custom software support can be purchased for one year.
We reserve the right to change the terms of its support policy in this announcement at any time. But, we endeavor to provide notice of any material changes within a reasonable period before such changes.
Because of the End of Support from Microsoft and technology limitations inherent in Windows XP, it might not always be possible to detect or remediate threats on Windows XP.
For a long-term security solution on Windows XP, consider Application Control (ACC). Contact sales for more information about ACC.
We strongly advise our customers to upgrade to a later version of Microsoft Windows operating system to ensure the best level of security coverage by its products.
