Embedded credentials package for McAfee Agent fails to install when the credentials contain extended characters

Environment

McAfee Agent (MA) 5.x

Problem

A FramePkg.exe embedded credentials package that contains extended characters fails to install.

The frminst_<computer_name>.log file records the errors below:

E #3724 UI Ins Please verify the embedded credentials are correct

Cause

The account used for the embedded credentials includes extended characters that are not supported.

Solution

When you create a FramePkg.exe that contains embedded credentials, only use an account that contains standard characters.

NOTE: Embedded credentials that include extended characters are not currently supported.
