Skyhigh Web Gateway (SWG)

Summary

This article explains how to extend the ICAP Service URL on ICAP clients to map the clients to specific policies on SWG.

Solution

Configure the ICAP Service URL to include the profile value for the appropriate policy.

Make sure that appropriate policies are created on SWG. Note the policy name needed for each client.
On the client, open the configuration for the ICAP client and locate the ICAP Service definition entry. The entry will be similar to one of the examples below:
- icap://192.168.0.1:1344/wwreqmod
- icap://192.168.0.1:1344/wwrespmod
Add the profile= value to specify the policy that should be used when applying filtering on SWG:

Examples:

icap://192.168.0.1:1344/wwreqmod?profile=Sales

Or

icap://192.168.0.1:1344/wwrespmod?profile=Sales

NOTE: Replace Sales with the name of the policy that should be applied to the client.

When the client communicates with SWG, the specified policy is used for filtering. Property ICAP.Policy can be used to read or work with the profile value on SWG.
