Microsoft has announced that Support for Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 ended on
October 10, 2023. For details, see the article
Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 reaching end of support.
We will be supporting the following products on Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 with extended support until
December 31, 2024:
- Host Intrusion Prevention (Host IPS)
- VirusScan Enterprise (VSE)
We will be supporting the following products on Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 with extended support until
December 31, 2025:
- Application and Change Control (ACC)
- Endpoint Security (ENS)
- Policy Auditor (PA)
- Trellix Agent (TA)
We'll continue to provide extended support only as long as it's technically and commercially reasonable for us and there's no external dependency.
Example: If we determine that a product requires Microsoft to provide a fix, and Microsoft can't provide the fix, we can't support the product any longer.
NOTE: Future releases of our products released after October 10, 2023 might not support Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2.
How to purchase extended support after October 10, 2023:
Beginning in October 2023, customers who want to use the products above on Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 must purchase extended support to continue receiving Technical Support and content updates for these products. Contact your account manager for more details about this option.

What's being announced?
Microsoft announced the End of Life (EOL) for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. We plan to support the products above with extended support on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 after the EOL date.

What SKUs are impacted?
This platform support EOL doesn't impact any entitlements directly. Contact your account manager to understand our current offerings.
What happens to my existing license?
All existing licenses are unaffected by this announcement. Extended support options are provided in addition to existing licenses at an additional charge.
Can I still receive Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 support on products not included in the announcement?
Other products currently supported on these operating systems are subject to the standard EOL policy and might reach their EOL separately of the timelines listed in this announcement.
