An incorrect decrypt message is displayed on systems with OneDrive

Problem

A default message displays on the client during policy enforcement. The message incorrectly shows that the OneDrive sync folder is being encrypted, instead of the expected decrypted message.

According to your Security policy, the following cloud providers are configured for encryption:

Entire sync folder for the following cloud providers will be encrypted.

Microsoft OneDrive for Business: c:\userszUser_Name\OneDrive

You see this issue after you upgrade to 5.4.1, and when a user is signed into OneDrive or OneDrive for Business.

NOTE: You see the incorrect message only if you've not configured a custom message.

Cause

Starting with FRP 5.4.1, an enforce decryption policy is now mandatory and applied to OneDrive sync folders.

Solution

You can safely ignore the message for OneDrive after you upgrade to FRP 5.4.1.
The issue is fixed in FRP 5.4.2 and later.

If you need to upgrade to FRP 5.4.1, implement the workaround (see the "Workaround" section).

Workaround

If the displayed message causes concerns, take the following action before you upgrade a client to FRP 5.4.1:

Create an Enforce Decrypt policy for OneDrive\OneDriveForBusiness.
Create a custom enforce message.
Save the policy.
Apply the policy.

The presence of a custom message prevents the misleading default message from being displayed.

IMPORTANT: The customized message must be created before you upgrade.
