When you edit a policy for a managed product, the policy change might not be enforced on the clients.
In addition, you might see that updated properties for one or more managed products is not sent to ePO.
The
macompatsvc_<name>.log contains an error similar to the following:
macompatsvc(6956.6372) LpcConnMgr.Error: Failed to authenticate software id HOSTIPS_8000 6D305A863B02CCE82F9AEAA473D7422F88A84495
NOTES:
- In the example message above, there are two spaces between the Product ID HOSTIPS_8000 and the hash 6D305A863B02CCE82F9AEAA473D7422F88A84495.
- This error can occur with a different product ID and hash.
- The key to this issue is the two spaces between the two.
