CVE-2018-6667:
Authentication Bypass vulnerability in the administrative user interface in Web Gateway 7.8.1.0 through 7.8.1.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via Java management extensions (JMX).
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-6667
NOTE: The above link was not yet populated with CVE details at the time of publication of this Security Bulletin.
The JMX service of Web Gateway UI was configured insecurely to listen on port 1099 on all interfaces. The service does not require authentication, allowing a user to connect, interact with the service, and execute user controlled code.
CVE-2018-1124:
Multiple integer overflows in procps-ng (procps) leading to heap corruption flaws were discovered in file2strvec(). These vulnerabilities can lead to privilege escalation for a local attacker who can create entries in procfs by starting processes, which will lead to crashes or arbitrary code execution in proc utilities run by other users (for example, pgrep, pkill, and pidof).
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-1124
CVE-2017-12940:
libunrar.a in UnRAR before 5.5.7 has an out-of-bounds read in the EncodeFileName::Decode call within the Archive::ReadHeader15 function.
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-12940
CVE-2017-12941:
libunrar.a in UnRAR before 5.5.7 has an out-of-bounds read in the Unpack::Unpack20 function.
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-12941
CVE-2017-12942:
libunrar.a in UnRAR before 5.5.7 has a buffer overflow in the Unpack::LongLZ function.
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-12942
Remediation
Go to the Product Downloads site and download the applicable product release:
NOTE: CVE-2018-1124 is not fixed in the Controlled Release. To exploit this vulnerability an attacker needs to have shell access, which is only available for administrators. The fix will be included in the next Controlled Release.
Download and Installation Instructions
For instructions to download product updates and hotfixes, see KB56057 - How to download Enterprise product updates and documentation. Review the Release Notes and the Installation Guide for instructions on how to install these updates. All documentation is available on the Product Documentation site.
Workaround
CVE-2018-6667: Access to TCP port 1099 should be forbidden by a firewall to reduce the attack surface.
CVE-2018-1124: None
CVE-2017-12940, CVE-2017-12941, and CVE-2017-12942: None
Installing the provided release specified in the Remediation table is strongly encouraged.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I know if my product is vulnerable?
For Appliances:
Use the following instructions for Appliance-based products:
CVSS, or Common Vulnerability Scoring System, is the result of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council's effort to standardize a system of assessing the criticality of a vulnerability. This system offers an unbiased criticality score between 0 and 10 that customers can use to judge how critical a vulnerability is and plan accordingly. For more information, visit the CVSS website at: http://www.first.org/cvss/.
When calculating CVSS scores, we've adopted a philosophy that fosters consistency and repeatability. Our guiding principle for CVSS scoring is to score the exploit under consideration by itself. We consider only the immediate and direct impact of the exploit under consideration. We do not factor into a score any potential follow-on exploits that might be made possible by the successful exploitation of the issue being scored.

Where can I find a list of all Security Bulletins?
All Security Bulletins are published on our Knowledge Center. Security Bulletins are retired (removed) once a product is both End of Sale and End of Support (End of Life).
How do I report a product vulnerability to you?
If you have information about a security issue or vulnerability with a product, follow the instructions provided in KB95563 - Report a vulnerability.
How do you respond to this and any other reported security flaws?
Our key priority is the security of our customers. If a vulnerability is found within any of our software or services, we work closely with the relevant security software development team to ensure the rapid and effective development of a fix and communication plan.
We only publish Security Bulletins if they include something actionable such as a workaround, mitigation, version update, or hotfix. Otherwise, we would simply be informing the hacker community that our products are a target, putting our customers at greater risk. For products that are updated automatically, a non-actionable Security Bulletin might be published to acknowledge the discoverer.
