This article provides awareness and updates on the rebranding of our ATP scanner engine Real Protect. Real Protect was rebranded to ML Protect on January 26, 2024.



What does the rebranding include?
The rebranding includes the following:

• Trellix ML Protect domain and URL updates
  • Action – Allow the new URL (https://arc-ai1.trellix.com/) through your firewall and proxy.
  • For Trellix Endpoint Customers, this needs to be completed before deployment of Trellix Endpoint 2311 (available on January 9, 2024). Deployment of Trellix Endpoint 2311 must be completed before January 26, 2024.
• Rebranded product release
  • Real Protect will be renamed to ML Protect.
• Detection name
  • The detections will be prefixed with ARC AI1.
  • Action – Update any custom scripts (if) created on ePO or elsewhere that parsed Real Protect detections using the 'Real Protect' string. These should be updated to include ARC AI1.

Why is the name changing?
This change of name is to comply with trademark regulations, and it ensures that we continue to provide you with the same security while adhering to legal requirements.

When was this implemented?
The change was fully implemented on January 26, 2024.

What products are impacted?
This change impacts all versions of ENS, Trellix Endpoint, and Stinger.

How can I check if firewall or proxy changes are necessary to communicate with ML Protect?
Navigate to https://arc-ai1.trellix.com/ping and check what message you receive. If you see {"STATUS":"ALIVE"}, no firewall changes are needed.
