To overcome the system crash or blue screen issue, perform either of the following actions:

• Define the bus type for Removable Storage Device Rule Exception (usb, firewire).
   
• Create a device definition where the device instance id (advanced) "contains" "SCSI\Disk," and use that as a whitelisted device definition within the Removable Storage Device Rule.

Following are the steps to exclude "exclude bus\scsi" option in the Removable Storage Device Rule DLP Policy:

1. Go to the ePO Console, Policy Catalog, DLP Policy.
2. Click Edit Policy, which has the Removable Storage Device Rule configured under its Ruleset.
3. Go to Exceptions and Select Excluded Device Templates.
4. Enable the state of Exceptions.
5. Select the Removable storage definition.
6. Create a new template (if not created earlier).
7. Name the Definition Template.
8. Select Windows devices.
9. Under the Available Properties, select Bus Type Equals as "SCSI/ Firewire" (as the case may be) from the drop-down.
10. Click Save. 
11. Select the name that appears in the list and click OK.
12. Save the Rule.
13. Apply the Policy and enforce it on the Client system.
14. Reboot the machine.
