Environment

Trellix Intelligent Sandbox (IS) 5.2

Problem

Logging on to GUI using a custom user account fails after migrating to IS 5.2. The logon screen shows the following error message:

Login failed: Please check your credentials and retry. If you still have a problem, contact your McAfee Advanced Threat Defense Administrator.

System Change

You've migrated to IS 5.2. Then, you try to log on using your custom user account as the first log-on to the 5.2 system.

Cause

The EULA must be accepted using the built-in admin account in IS 5.2, before other user accounts access it.

Solution

Log on to the GUI using the built-in admin account after migrating to IS 5.2. You're prompted to accept the EULA. Accept the EULA, and log off.
After you accept the EULA, log on using your custom user account.
