Environment

Application and Change Control (ACC) 8.x
Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8, 7

Problem

We have observed issues with other products when Application Control is enabled.

Cause

Application and Change Control version 8.3.x was bundled with an older version of MPT. So, the files signed with the new VTP certificates aren't getting trusted, which leads to failure in execution.

Solution

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

Upgrade to the 8.3.5 Hotfix build (8.3.5 – 169) that is bundled with the latest MPT version.
Update the config AllowFailedCertTrustWithVTP value:
1. Create a Solidcore Client Task with the category Run command.
2. Provide the input as sadmin config set AllowFailedCertTrustWithVTP = 1.
3. Execute the task on the clients.
4. Reboot the system after the task is successful.
