We released an updated Agent MsgBus cert package, which contains Musarubra and McAfee Inc certificates. This package allows future point products to successfully communicate to TA, report point products properties, and apply policies or updates. We recommend that you install the package as soon as possible to avoid interruption if you plan to upgrade any additional Trellix point products.

You can use either of the following methods to check in the MsgBus cert:

Method 1 - Repository Pull task from ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

Method 2 - Manually check in the MsgBus cert update from the Software Catalog.

You can deploy the MsgBus cert updater package TA 5.7.7.435 or later to client systems through an update task in ePO. Select the MsgBus Cert Updater 5.7.7 or later version option from the "Patches and service packs" section. If the computer is online, an internal task runs at midnight to update the MsgBus cert if the latest version of the msgbus cert is checked into the current branch.

To identify what version of the MsgBus cert is installed locally:

Linux or macOS:
 
To identify which version of the MsgBus cert is installed through ePO (TA 5.7.x and later):

1. Log on to the ePO console.
2. Click System Tree.
3. Select a System Name from the Systems page.
4. Select McAfee Agent and click More.
5. Search for the MessageBus Cert Version to find the installed version.
