Summary
Description of Campaign Operators of the Magniber ransomware have realigned their initial attack vector from a fake Windows 10 update to a Windows 11 update. They continue to use cracked software and adult-themed websites to lure victims into downloading the payload. Once executed, the ransomware encrypts the user's data and threatens the victim with the loss of data or double the ransom if demands aren't met within five days. Our ATR Team gathers and analyzes information from multiple open and closed sources before disseminating intelligence reports. This campaign was researched by 360 Total Security and shared publicly.
