You might see multiple instances of
mfehidk drivers in the
FLTMC output. These instances refer to multiple volumes such as hard disk, shadow volume copies, MUP, and Named Pipe. Mailslot is excluded from these instances. This behavior is expected, and there's no issue with the driver or ENS.
To check the number of instances associated with
the mfehidk driver:
- Open a command prompt.
- To view the number of instances associated with the mfehidk driver, type the following command:
FLTMC
The following example output shows five instances for the mfehidk driver.

- To view the number of volumes present on the system, type the following command:
FLTMC Volumes
The following example output shows multiple volumes of hard disk, shadow volume copies, MUP, and Named Pipe (excludes Mailslot). The total number of volumes might not be equal to the number of instances in the FLTMC command because it might exclude the Mailslot volume.
