Endpoint Security Firewall rule with duplicate executable names doesn't work
Technical Articles ID:
KB95280
Last Modified: 2022-02-08 14:51:26 Etc/GMT Environment
Endpoint Security (ENS) Firewall 10.7.x
Problem
An ENS Firewall rule with the same name for more than one executable doesn't work as expected. The firewall rule for allowing or blocking traffic based on defined executable in the rule doesn't function as expected.
Solution
This issue is resolved in ENS 10.7.0 September 2021 Update. Our product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available on the Product Downloads site.
NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. See KB56057 - How to download product updates and documentation for more information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products. Workaround
Modify the executable names in the firewall rule so that there are no duplicate executable names.
