Summary
Starting Q4 2021, we are changing the Web Gateway WBG-5500-E and WBG-5000-E back panel Ethernet interface port layout. Changed models ship with a new network interface card. But, depending on availability of the parts at the time of the manufacturing process, the factory might assemble appliances using the original network interface card. This change is noticeable as a different back panel layout for the ports: Network interfaces 3–6. Other ports, such as Network interfaces 1 and 2, Serial and RMM stay the same. See the Related Information field for a comparison between the two models. You can still add the supportable 4-port fiber card, and increase the port count to 8. The add-on fiber card must be installed in Riser # 2 [Closest to the PSU]. For a list of supported fiber cards, see the Adding a module card section of the Web Gateway Hardware Guide. NOTE: When you install the new fiber card, you must remove the card already present in the alternative configuration.
