In Q4 2021, we revised the ATD-3200 and ATD-6200 appliances back panel Ethernet interface port layout.
The changed models ship with a new network interface card. But, depending on availability of the parts at the time of manufacturing, the factory might assemble appliances using the original network interface card.
This change is noticeable as a different back panel layout for the port:
intfport 2, and
intfport 3 (as accessible from CLI). Other ports, such as management interface,
intfport 1, and RMM interfaces, stay the same. There's no change in the configurable network speed and duplex settings with the new network interface card.
See the "Related Information" field for a comparison between the two models.
The original back panel layout is
Configuration A; the new back panel layout is
Configuration B.
IMPORTANT: Both hardware configurations are valid and compatible with ATD/IS software.
FAQS:
Is the new hardware configuration applied to both new shipping and RMA units?
Yes. The new hardware configuration is applicable to both new shipping and RMA units.
Is the previous hardware configuration discontinued?
No.
Can I still be sent the ATD-3200/ATD-6200 with the original network interface card?
Yes. Depending on availability of the parts at the time of manufacturing, the factory assembles ATD-3200/ATD-6200 appliances using either network interface card.
Are the mgmt, intfport 1 or RMM interfaces affected with this change?
No. None of these interfaces are affected.
Does the ATD/IS software support new network interface card?
Yes.
Is there any change in ATD/IS software for the new network interface card settings?
No. There's no change in the ATD/IS software for the new network interface card settings, such as network speed and duplex.
What replacement unit will I receive as part of the RMA process?
Either configuration can be supplied. The configuration of RMA replacement/refurbished models depends on factory availability.
