File Hashing Exclusions don't work when spaces are used with separators

Environment

Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) - all versions

Problem

If a blank space exists before or after an exclusion in File Hashing Exclusions, it doesn't work because a space isn't treated as a separator.

Example:
C:\folder1; C:\folder2 = Only folder1 is excluded
C:\folder1;C:\folder2 = Both folders are excluded

Solution

This issue is scheduled to be resolved in EDR 4.0 in 2022. Until then, follow the workaround below.

Workaround

Remove the blank spaces between the exclusions manually.
